Killer Idea - Video Marketing

I just posted a killer idea on Jason Moffat's forum for Easy Video Sales we'll see if anyone ends up using it.  The killer idea is to study what makes the most watched videos watched, create a formula for belting out similar viewer numbers, and then create a product for it and market it to the world.

Check out Jason Moffat and his Easy Video Sales course.

ROI on Social Media

Charles Heflin from The Online Social Media Frontier created an interesting post Is there any return on investment in social media?
He gives us 10 basic statements to follow when using Social Media for marketing, but what they basically boil down to is the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

The most controversial statement he made was:

"Statement 2: Primarily using social network systems as a way to garner incoming links (link love) as a method to increase rankings in search engines is a short-lived strategy. We have evidence that Google is paying attention to the level of “community” and “friendship” and “voting” that occurs within accounts that list your website link. It is easy to spot footprints left behind by social media black/grey hat tactics. If you want to destroy your social media presence and your search engine visibility then feel free to attempt using social networks as a link building exercise."

I know many people use Social Networks as a mean to get high PR links, and I agree with James Schramko of Internet Marketing Speed
when he replied in the comments:

"…Possibly the main social networks are in the business of data selling and have users contribute content. So it seems fair they can also be used for legitimate linking purposes…."

Overall it's a great article hammering home the point that to get you must first give.
